Joseph Salvi, 84, of West Babylon, NY passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 after a short illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 4, 1936 to the late Rigo and Maria (Cipullo) Salvi, Joseph grew up in Brooklyn prior to moving to Long Island. Joseph was a jet engine mechanic for many years for Pan Am Airlines before retiring. During his retirement years he enjoyed being a school bus driver for the West Babylon School District. Joseph proudly served in the United States Army in 1956. Joseph loved gardening, taking vacations, and relaxing in the sun. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family during the holidays and at family gatherings.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Louise (Nerone) Salvi, his devoted daughter, Marie Gigantelli and her husband Jamie, and three cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Rocco, and Dominick. Additional survivors include his sisters, Julia LoVerde and Theresa LiCausi and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joseph's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 9th from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Noce Funeral Home, 189 Route 109, West Babylon, NY.
Interment will be private.
